The Christmas Photo

This year I was a little late in getting Christmas cards out, don't worry I sent them out yesterday. When the time comes to try and get a picture of all of us looking at the camera, with our eyes open, it is always an adventure.
There is usually a lot of this...

Some of this...
The eyes closed in every picture, they get that from me!

More of this...
The pouting comes from Tysen ;}

And some bribing...
Yes that is a giant gingerbread cookie!

Then after we edit and weed out all the pictures with peoples hands in front of  faces, or their sister's faces, we are usually left with two (yes two) pictures that we can possibly use.

So we decide to just start over the next day.....

The finished product you will see in a couple of days!

If you don't e-mail me, because I probably don't have your right address!

HALLOWEEN!

Halloween was nice this year. It wasn't raining, it wasn't freezing cold, and the kids were all happy. Wonderful by my account. As promised here are some pictures of the kiddos.

M-Girl went as a pretty witch.
S-Girl went as Rainbow Brite

L-Girl went as a Care Bear

I love them!

Fall Is Here

We have had a wonderful fall season, I mean the best September/October weather ever. We have been keeping busy this fall.

Along with soccer this year S-Girl started Tae Kwon Do. She is really enjoying it and it is pretty cute to watch.

M-Girl continues to be pretty devoted to soccer. She has been doing awesome this season and begins the tryout process in the spring. I have mixed feelings about the whole tryout thing, I mean she is fantastic at it and she loves playing, but I am not terribly excited about the price of it all. I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there.

L-Girl is settling into just her and mommy time now that big sisters are at school. She is all kinds of trouble; cute, smart, and has everyone wrapped around her finger.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Fall as well.

Sunshine!

Drayton Harbor
The last couple days have been so beautiful here. Waking up and feeling the sunshine just makes my day better. As we headed out to school this morning S-Girl looked out the window and said, "you know mommy, I love sunshine."
Birch Bay
After we dropped the two older girls off at school L-Girl and I headed down to the beach to kick rocks and take in some much needed Vitamin D.

I decided to take a few pictures of this beautiful place we call home. So many beautiful places in this wonderful state I am always in awe of all the new beauty we continually discover on all our adventures.
Hello Canada!
Semiahmoo Bay

I keep telling The Husband that maybe all the rain this Fall won't be as bad because we live by the beach and for some odd reason, the gray doesn't bother me as much when it is accompanied by some body of water.

Ask me after it has been raining for a month straight and I might be singing an entirely different tune.

I'm Trying

I don't know what it is exactly, but something about the ocean, the water, drives me to write. So I have picked up my little blogging habit again as a way to cure this need.

I love living near the water, it makes me happy looking out to the horizon and seeing the water as it stretches out endless. It makes me feel peaceful, thoughtful, thus my need to write.
